
How to Purchase
To make a purchase please select the hat you wish to purchase from our collections. At the next screen you will be asked to choose your hat colour and size (if you are unclear of the size you need please read our size guide). When you have made these choices, you can add the hat to your shopping basket (cart). You can then continue browsing our hats, or checkout.
You can return to your order form by clicking order form in the left menu and you may review or amend your order at any time.
When you click 'checkout' in the order form, you will be asked to enter your name and address details. Then the final screen will take you to our secure payment site, where you can pay by credit card through either WorldPay or PayPal if you have an account. We accept Master Card, Visa Credit, JCB, Switch, Solo, Visa Debit and AMEX. Please note all our prices are in Pounds Sterling.
Once the payment is accepted your order will be processed and confirmed by email. We aim to despatch orders within 24 hours of receipt. However, in the event of any unforseen problems, we will advise you immediately if there will be any delay in fulfilling your order. If a hat is shown with zero against the quantity, it means that it is temporarily out of stock. Please email us at sales@hats-online.co.uk if you wish to be advised when it becomes available again.
Please be sure you complete all sections so that your order is fulfilled correctly.
Your order will normally be sent through the Royal Mail, using either their Special Delivery next working day service or Signed for Service for the UK and the International Signed For service for other countries. The cost of postage and packing will be automatically added to your invoice. The rates are shown below and these are calculated per order :-
For the Fur Felt Hats & Material Caps:
UK and British Isles £6.00, Europe£7.50 and the Rest of the World £10.00
For the Knitted Hats & Scarves:
UK and British Isles £3.50, Europe £4.50 and the Rest of the World £5.50
Cancellation
Should you wish to cancel your order after completing the payment procedure, please advise us immediately as orders received up to midday on Monday to Friday are despatched on that day. There will be a 7% deduction when making the refund to cover the charges made by WorldPay and PayPal.

Privacy Policy
The Whiteley Hat Company respects your privacy and you may choose when providing your details if you would prefer them to be only used to fulfill the current transaction, or if you would like to receive information about our other products. Whichever you decide, you may rest assured that they will remain confidential at all times and will never be passed on to any other organisation.

Returns Policy
Returns will be accepted for exchange or refund of the price of the item, excluding any postage & packing charges, provided it is returned within 7 days of receipt in the original packing, unworn and with the ticket labels still attached.
For reasons of hygiene we reserve the right not to refund or exchange any hat that has been worn. It is the policy of The Whiteley Hat Company never to sell items that have been previously worn.
In the unlikely event that the item is faulty, the full cost will be refunded.
Please obtain proof of despatch for any returned items as we cannot accept any responsibility for items lost or damaged in transit.

Care of Your Hat
Your hat will be sent to you in a box specially designed to ensure it arrives in the same pristine condition it left us. If you have one of our Fur Felts and will not be wearing it for a week or two, we suggest gently brushing it before putting it back in the box. A gentle brush with a little steam will also revive them. Please follow the care instructions for our fabric hats carefully, some may be dry cleaned by specialist dry cleaning companies and the washable ones with a mild detergent, preferably by hand or using the gentlest of programs on the machine.
Do not use a tumble dryer, just gently squeeze to remove most of the water and then let it dry naturally away from any source of heat.
